Regarding the “Cheerleader Video” thing. I have to say that this story affected me personally. I identified with it deeply. Not because I used to use (I haven’t) but because I know what it is to degrade women to make oneself feel better. I think most women know what this is. Why I am so upset about the video collaboration “making sex work” is that I used to be of those opinions. When I was of those opinions I was what I now identify to be a “female misogynist”. I hated women, I hated what they allowed themselves to be, what they allowed men to do to them, what I saw of myself in them. All oppressed people, and YES that includes women, know what it is to identify with our oppressors over each other. This is something that even now I struggle with. I don’t want to degrade other women and I don’t want to feel superior to other women regardless of who they are. I am not perfect and I get angry and I am still working through my own internalized misogyny.

I will always bear the scars.
